It has been reported by the Los Angeles Times, second baseman LA Dodger Jeff Kent will announce his retirement this Thursday. Kent is orginally from Bellflower, California and his nickname is Smiley. He won MVP in 2000 with the San Fransisco Giants, is a major league record holder for home runs among second basemen.
