Our staff got a chance to speak with the lovely Anastasia Garcia, a young model from Cleveland, Ohio of Dominican and African decent who's only been modeling for 1 1/2 years and has already been featured in magazines such as Sweets and The Source. She's also done quite a bit Video Modeling in such videos as: B.O.B. ft. Rich Boy "Haterz Everywhere," Shawty Lo "Foolish" Remix, Gorilla Zoe ft. Gucci Man "Walk Wit a Waddle," and more.
In addition to her drive to succeed, we were also blown away by her petite body covered with fresh tattoos! She has her sign, which is a Virgo (August 23rd is her birthday), her name (which is of Greek Origin) on her stomach and means, "resurrection", on her arm she has "Bonita" (she speaks a little Spanish), and lower back she has eyes and stars. Below we asked Ms. Garcia a few questions about her life as a model, if you have any more feel free to post them in the comment section.
DITM: What made you decide to pursue a career in modeling Anastasia?
Anastasia: I have always felt like it was in my destiny to be a star and I believe that truly. I want to act as well so modeling is really a stepping stone for me. I'm currently in acting classes and seeking roles.
DITM: Oh okay, that's great. What impact has modeling had on your personal life?
Anastasia: Well, it has had its ups and downs. I can really say it's made me a stronger person...
DITM: Stronger and wiser, as long as you're learning something from this competitive business I'm sure you'll be alright...so tell us, overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?
Anastasia: It's fun but also can be really shady, but it really is what you make it. It's different then it used to be. Women can be so easy now a days so people think all models are like that.
DITM: Very true. What do you intend to gain or get out of your career in modeling?
Anastasia: To be the best ... one of the most requested models, entry into acting which will hopefully lead to me being .... how should I say it? .... very rich! [laughs]
